Pietro Joseph Miceli
Brother Pietro "Pete" Joseph Miceli, age 59, of Harrison Township, passed away at home Monday July 13, 2009. A lifelong area resident, he was born in Detroit. He was the service director at Pat Moran Chevrolet in Clinton Township, a member of the Clinton Township Area Optimist Club, and active in many community events. He is survived by his wife, Maureen; children, Jennifer (David) Lobdell, Carla, and Anthony; stepfather to Brian Fay; grandfather to David, Alisha, and Samantha; brother of Nino. Predeceased by parents, Tony and Anne Miceli; sister, Cathy.
James E. Tredwell
James E. Tredwell passed away Monday February 2, 2008 at age 65 in his home. James served the Detroit Police Department as a police officer for 29 years. After retiring he went on to work at the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office performing extra security as a “Blue Coat”. He has been a member of the Central Macomb Lodge since its inception. James was laid to rest on February 22nd at Clinton Grove Cemetery 21189 Cass Avenue Clinton Township, MI 48038.
Joseph Golembiewski
It is with heavy hearts that the Armada Police Department and the citizens of the Village of Armada advise that the retired Chief of Police Joseph Golembiewski passed away on May 30, 2008. Chief Golembiewski was a Marine and served in Vietnam, he worked for CN railroad Police, the Department of Homeland Security, as well as serving as Chief of the Armada Police Department for nearly a decade.
Raymond R. Jovanovich
76 of Chesterfield, formerly of Richmond died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Jovanovich was born April 28, 1932 in Warren, Michigan to the late Michael and Anna (Drazich) Jovanovich. He married Jennie Klein in New Baltimore on August 17, 1996. Ray retired in 1993 as a police officer from the Armada Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 187. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, shooting pool and was always up for a party. He is survived by his wife, Jennie, children, R. Dan (Angela) of China Twp., Richard (Kathy) of Fostoria, Cynthia Jay of Columbiaville, Renee (James) Little of Melbourne, FL. and Diane (Patrick) Jovanovich-Fryer of East China, step-children, Sherry (Terrance) Desmarais-Byer of New Baltimore, Kasandra (Shawn) Boyd of Goodells and Ronald (Laura) Givens of Lenox, brother, Richard (Marilyn) Jay of Naples, FL., brother-in-law, George Vlaich of MN., twenty-one grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael on October 27, 1998, his granddaughter, Kristle Jovanovich on May 22, 1985, his first wife, Suzanne on April 28, 2001, sister Mildred Vlaich and step-daughter Lisa Marie Givens.
